Hi and thanks for stopping by. As you can see from my picture, I am not a native Californian. This picture was taken about twelve years ago just after I moved to Sonoma from Florida! Since then I've moved even further north in California to live in the mountains you see behind me.

My background is mathematics and computer science, which makes my contribution to R & D Web pretty valuable. I love to tinker with scripts and have been told that I have a very distinctive snicker when something I've been working on finally works.

My avocations include gourmet cooking (worked as a cordon blue chef on a yacht in the Mediterranean and one in Alaska years ago), organic gardening, bellydancing (I'm a member of Ayesha's Oasis Dance Co. in Medford, OR) and traveling (Morocco is slated for 2008).

My focus is on the artistic and conceptual aspects of web site design. I am a native Californian and have lived here most of my life in rural settings. California's cultural diversity provides a palette of artistic influences unmatched anywhere in the world. This diversity is something I try to project in my work.

I am an avid outdoorsman, so publishing The Fishsniffer Online is more fun than work. California's natural beauty is another source of artistic inspiration I apply to my work.

I assisted in teaching html programming and web site graphics at Sonoma State University and Santa Rosa Junior College before moving north to Siskiyou County.

My favorite diversions are fishing, playing accordion and piano, gourmet cooking, and various art projects, from tying flies to finish carpentry.
